new year’s resolutions (sort of…)

That is the correct apostrophe position … right? ANYWAY, OKAY. Here are things I am going to attempt in 2011 — not necessarily resolutions, per se, because those always seem doomed, but goals, perhaps. 

  • Phase out of artificial sweeteners in my tea & coffee. Right now, I can’t handle tea or coffee without Splenda in, and that just cannot be good for me in the long run. Start using less & less, and eventually none at all. 
  • Prepare more meals for myself. Stop eating out as much, & definitely calm down with all of that Chick-Fil-A. Yes, it’s delicious. No, it’s not good for me … and it gets damn expensive, too. So there’s that.
  • Go. To. All. Of. My. Classes. Good god, I was terrible at this this past semester, & now I’ve got to wait an extra semester to apply for my major, because my GPA is too low … oops. :(
  • Stop biting my nails and splitting my hair and just in general calm down on the nervous habits that I’ve got. All they do is negatively affect me, & it’s not even like I get some large pleasure from any of them. Useless. 

Uh … I think that is it. For now, anyway. I will keep you updated, should I decide on anything else. :’)

PS! I forgot to tell you about WIW! I was 176.5lbs. Which, to be quite honest, is not so awful considering the holidays & all of the baking & eating that I did. Now you know. Now I can let you know about my next WIW without feeling like total & complete shit … as I am often wont to do when I share my lack of progress with y’all, because, uh …. yep.
